Type 2 diabetes is an impairment in the way the body regulates and uses sugar (glucose) as a fuel. This long-term (chronic) condition results in too much sugar circulating in the bloodstream. Eventually, high blood sugar levels can lead to disorders of the circulatory, nervous and immune systems.

Here are the symptoms:

Whole body: excessive hunger, excessive thirst, or fatigue

Weight: weight gain or weight loss

Also common: frequent urination, blurred vision, or poor wound healing. If you notice some of these symptoms please call a doctor.

Type 2 diabetes is usually diagnosed using the glycated hemoglobin (A1C) test. This blood test indicates your average blood sugar level for the past two to three months.

Below 5.7% is normal.

5.7% to 6.4% is diagnosed as prediabetes.

6.5% or higher on two separate tests indicates diabetes.

For treatment you could do self-care stuff like Physical Exercise, quitting smoking (if you do), weight loss, dietary fiber, nutrition counseling, and a diabetic diet. You can also take Anti-Diabetic medication (like Statin and Insulin).
